My mother thrived at Shipston Lodge in the last year of her life. After she moved there at the age of 97, she looked years younger, became more active and engaged, loved the staff and made friends with other residents. When she experienced a sudden and terminal event, she and our family received exceptional
care and support in her last few days.
I am a retired GP, experienced in geriatric and end-of-life care, and I cannot speak highly enough of the standard of care at Shipton Lodge.
We could not have asked for anything more.

My parents were apprehensive and daunted at the prospect of two weeks of respite care after Dad was struggling to be independent with a fractured collar bone. They were given a warm, friendly welcome to bright, sunny surroundings. They comment that the kindness from all the staff has been outstanding,
and have gone home stronger and refreshed. The food has been especially commented on. The Lodge has been a very positive first experience of respite care.

Shipston Lodge is a really lovely care and nursing home. My mother-in-law was at "home" from the moment she moved in. The facilities, staff, food, care and stimulation are all exceptional.

My father moved here in August 2021, and as a family, we expected the transition to be challenging, but the skilled staff and exceptional care enabled him to settle remarkably quickly. His room is always clean and comfortable, and he thoroughly enjoys the food. We are incredibly grateful to all the

My father has been a resident for 18 months, and I cannot fault the care. It was a big decision for us to put him in a nursing home, but we have been delighted with the decision. He was made to feel very welcome, and the care has been exceptional. My father likes his food, and the food is excellent.
I cannot recommend Shipston Lodge highly enough.

My nan has recently received end-of-life care at Shipston Lodge. The staff have been amazing. The kindness, care and compassion that they showed my nan and us have been a great comfort in such a difficult time. We've been made to feel very welcome at all hours of the day and night. The care that Nan
received was at the highest level, and they considered her dignity at all times. The staff have comforted us when we've had tears and have tried hard to keep our spirits up throughout the devastating process. As a family, we couldn't be more grateful.

I was reluctant to have respite care when I came out of the hospital after ten days; home was where I wanted to be. However, I would not have missed the ten days; what an experience, the care was extraordinary, and the carers and every other helper were superb; respect, compassion and cheerfulness from
those hardworking people. Special.

Wonderful service. They stepped up on a Sunday afternoon to provide emergency accommodation for my 90-year-old mother, who had dislocated her hip, and following hospitalisation, was unable to go home until a stair lift was installed.
My mother stayed for a week, and the staff were lovely, the food
was great, and the coffee even better (I needed it), and the support was just so good and so needed at a time of stress for our family.
There was a temptation to check myself in.

After a somewhat difficult few months navigating geriatric mental health through the NHS, my 92-year-old grandma had the good fortune to be found a place at Shipston Lodge.
With complex needs (heart failure and rapid onset dementia), there were only two suitable places for her in Warwickshire. For
our family, Shipston Lodge was the only place we were happy for her to go.
The grounds and facilities are top-notch. And, whilst it may be easy to be drawn in by the luxury, the management and staff are truly what makes this place very special indeed.
It is extremely reassuring to know that costs aren't being cut with minimal staffing. Moreover, the quality of care on offer and the professionalism of the staff (from carers, nurses, management and even the handyman) is exactly what is deserved for the residents in their twilight years.
It is such a relief to know that my grandma is receiving the care and attention that she needs at this stage of her life.

My wife moved to Shipston Lodge recently, and I was impressed with both the staff, level of care and the quality of the home. The staff are excellent, and the activities and care she has received have made a positive impact on her, and she is very happy at Shipston Lodge. I am confident that she will

My mother moved to Shipston Lodge in October 2021. She chose Shipston because of its attractiveness and how she was welcomed by all the staff she met. She has often commented subsequently how kind and friendly she has found everyone. I have been very grateful to the staff for their kindness, positivity,
support and advice as my mother's health needs have changed. I feel informed and confident that the staff know my mother and are doing everything they can to care for her. The home itself is very comfortable with excellent facilities, clean and very calming, which all helps to reassure my mother and her family. I have seen many homes over the years, and I think Shipston Lodge is one of the best and certainly the right place for Mum.

My mum has been here for two years. I have been very impressed with the communication relating to my mum. The level of care is superb, and the staff are always cheerful and friendly. I feel reassured that mum is cared for and most of all, safe. I would and have recommended Shipston Lodge to other people.

My father has been a resident at Shipston Lodge since early December. The consistency of care and sensitivity of the staff is apparent from the outset. I have felt assured that he is not just ‘looked after’ but ‘cared for’. All interactions at every level for myself and his friends when making phone
enquiries or visiting in person have been pleasant, courteous and shown understanding.

The biggest difference with Shipston Lodge is that all the staff really care and go that extra mile with the care. This must be a culture as everyone is the same. The atmosphere is always upbeat and cheery. It's a very hard thing to let someone else look after your loved one, but this place really
is the best.
