In a lovely leafy location with extensive landscaped gardens, Ascot offers something for everyone. With private en-suite accommodation coming in various sizes and styles, all complemented by either Assisted Residential Living, Respite, Dementia and Nursing Care.

Ascot is a very comfortable homely environment offering 96 studios or one-bedroom apartment with excellent dining options for residents. Ascot Grange also has a separate industry leading dementia suite in keeping with Stirling University's Gold Framework for those living with Dementia.

Ascot happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories together.

The home features two dining rooms and a further private dining room for special occasions. In addition, there is a cinema, hair salon, spa and treatment room as well as an activity and entertainment lounge.

My friend is a resident in the dementia wing. I am always welcomed by her carer, and offered refreshment and given a quiet corner to have a chat with my friend - not always easy as she likes to be up and about to see what is happening elsewhere. I have been pleased with the musical interlude church
service and cooking classes, all very much enjoyed by everyone. The communal rooms are open plan and very spacious, with the benefit of a garden room, even on the third floor. I have noticed the residents are given very good attention to their needs at all times. Also, before Covid, they enjoyed coach trips. I have experience of another nursing home, (not Signature) where a friend with only physical disability is living with residents at all stages of disability, including mental, and sadly she has and is going into a decline.

I have been an assisted living resident in this custom-built complex since it was opened in summer 2017. It is designed to accommodate about 96 residents. The top floor is a self-contained secure untie for "dementia care", and the lower three floors are for "assisted living". Carers work a 12-hour shift,
and during the day, there are 5 carers on duty, one of whom is dedicated to delivering mediation, and a registered nurse is on call. There are currently 27 residents in "assisted living", giving a ratio of one carer to six residents.
There is a daily activities programme, including board games, quizzes etc, and films/live television in our own cinema. Minibus trips twice weekly to the local shops, according to demand, to garden centres, museums and stately homes. We also receive visits from professional musicians and vocalists. There is a greenhouse for the use of residents. Additionally, a convenient size lawn, where subject to fine weather both croquet and boules can be enjoyed. Furthermore, with summer upon us, the outdoors barbeques can be put to full use.

All the staff are so kind and caring to my Dad, who has been at Ascot Grange for 3-months. The staff try very hard to get Dad integrated and to keep him entertained. There are lots of options for visiting, despite COVID restrictions. The staff listen to concerns, and the rooms and grounds are well kept.

Mum visited Ascot Grange for respite care, and she was not looking forward to it. She had a lovely time, thoroughly enjoyed the company of others, and described her experience as a wonderful holiday. She couldn't compliment the staff enough saying how kind they all were. We are hoping this experience
will even persuade her to think about living there permanently, as we felt she found life enjoyable again.

My mother has been a resident at Ascot Grange for six months. We saw her today, and she was very happy. Her room was bright and sunny - well positioned. Mum loves the activities, and the theme this week was biscuits. Mum responded well to the friendly and helpful staff.

Mum has a diagnosis of mixed dementia with Alzheimer's. We took the decision to move Mum into Ascot Grange just before Christmas 2020 after a series of falls and hospital visits. The staff could not have been kinder to all of us as Mum settled into her new environment whilst in the midst of a global
pandemic and festive season! She is a tricky personality, but all the carers and staff have shown incredible kindness towards Mum, and it is a huge relief to all the family knowing she is being looked after so well.

Ascot Grange in Sunninghill has quickly become a trusted and welcome home for our stepfather. With the combination of age and pandemic lockdowns, he was isolated at home. Moving from his house was a major adjustment and particularly hard at first going through a quarantine period. Once that passed,
there has been a huge fall in the level of anxiety about daily living challenges that are difficult to face alone. He is around other people in a friendly and calm environment, walking in the garden in almost all weather, and looking forward to spring in regular phone calls with the family. We all look forward to the resumption of normal visits and the return of the many activities usually available. Ascot Grange staff have been very helpful and shown great resilience through the lockdowns alongside their residents.

Dad moved to Ascot Grange from his own home in September 2019. It was an enormous change for him, and from his first day, the wonderful staff made every effort to make it feel like home for him. Ascot Grange is very friendly and welcoming, and Dad thoroughly enjoys living there.

My parents had a real home in Ascot Grange. They were happy and so well cared for in what they saw as their home. The staff knew the so well - all their foibles and needs. This is a family environment that shows love and care and treats everyone as a special individual.

Following a fall resulting in a fractured femur my husband required respite care. He has Parkinson’s Disease which complicates his care and Ascot Grange were excellent in making sure he had his medication on time. He enjoyed the food and the company and in spite of Covid restrictions was able to relax
and recover. He has returned home but we are reassured that when he needs further respite we have every confidence in Ascot Grange. Everyone showed him care and respect and that meant a lot to both of us.

Our mum has recently moved to Ascot Grange and whilst visiting is restricted, the staff have been absolutely amazing in helping her to settle in. Her apartment on arrival was made to look so pretty and inviting and our mum loves it. The quality of service prior to her arrival was exceptional and everyone
has been informative and friendly. It was her 90th birthday just after she moved in and had her hair done as a treat from Ascot Grange -and a card and chocolates from the staff. How kind and thoughtful.

My father is a new resident to Ascot Grange and as a family, we feel that he is in a safe and caring environment totally suited to his needs. He has adapted quickly to his new life there which is a credit to all the team. The pandemic has made life tough, most especially for those in care homes. I believe
that Ascot Grange dealt with the situation in a way that benefitted the residents ahead of themselves. Totally selfless. We also remain in contact with my father via video calls which have been invaluable for us as a family but we are certainly looking forward to sharing some cinema nights in the amazing cinema room there with my father when the world returns to a safe normality. Mum moved into Ascot Grange just before the Coronavirus lockdown commenced. She was warmly welcomed and immediately made to feel at home. The kindness and care Mum has received from all the staff throughout this challenging time has been wonderful. The staff have done their very best to keep Mum occupied
and entertained during necessary periods of isolation and much reduced social contact. They have arranged video calls with various family members to help Mum keep in touch. Mum is certainly happier than she has been in a long time and I know she feels safe and cared for in her new home. Thank you to all the staff who have helped to improve Mum's quality of life. Dad has been with Ascot Grange for just under a year. With the current Coronavirus circumstances, I am so pleased that he is safe with access to medical care and support. The staff have been amazing during this difficult time, and although temporary measures have been put in place (cancelling their
trips and entertainment etc) he has been kept busy.
The staff genuinely care and are really good with Dad. I have seen a real difference in him, he is more confident, and no longer just sat in front of his TV like he was doing at home. Staff are good at sending me photos through the care portal, and I like that I can log in and see what he has been up to. They have also helped Dad video call me; which is great.

Visiting the home for private dining with friends. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. From entering the home we were greeted by the team and a wheelchair for my friend. We were shown around the home, provided with coffee in the cafe prior to lunch. Lunch was amazing, the food was beautiful,
the staff were warm, friendly and kind, attentive without being overbearing. A wonderful afternoon was had by all, it completely changed our perception of what a care home is like.

Home is beautiful and modern, but the care they give my Nan is excellent. She looks healthier than she was at home. She’s kept busy and the dementia team make a real effort to reminisce with her which she loves.

Ascot Granges' activities for its residents are simply great - each time I see my mother she has yet another tale to tell - yesterday she was telling me about the flamenco dancer they had watched by doing the dance steps and she so enjoyed the Burns night with the piper and dancers. My Mum came in for some respite after her hip operation. The home was fantastic. The staff and the physio worked together to get mum mobile again. They have an Ortho Rehab programme which I was really impressed with. The home is very clean and modern. It is a very lively home and the atmosphere is lovely.
They encouraged my mum to get involved in their trips out which she loved. She is now seriously considering living there full time.

Thank you for taking the time to read our bios. We love to see prospective customers, families and friends, new members of staff and the local community taking an interest in our community.


I am the General Manager for Ascot Grange. My role is to ensure that we deliver what we say we do. I am responsible for overall service delivery to our customers and community, inspiring and leading the onsite team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.


Over the last 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector by managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. I have come into contact with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.


Over that time, I have been proud to lead and work alongside some amazing team members who have had a genuine passion for care and a true desire to serve. I have learned a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey.


I am very much a people person. I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others. The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful.


I was immediately drawn to Ascot Grange because of the culture and principles the organisation aspires to. After visiting the home and meeting some of the residents and staff, I knew that this was where I wanted to work. I subsequently joined the Ascot Grange team in January 2022. I am now passionately working with the community and team here to take the home’s services forward. The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity into the Ascot Grange community.

I am delighted to join the team at Ascot Grange as the Dementia Care Manager working with the Devenish Community and other residents on the dementia pathway. I strongly believe that all residents should be supported in living their life to the full and ensuring all are supported as an individual.


I have spent my career working in care with companies including Somerset Care and more latterly McCarty and Stone as an Area Manager.


When not at work I love to travel. I am from a large family and am lucky to have them close by so we are all able to spend lots of time together.

I have been part of the Ascot Grange team since June 2021. My role involves meeting prospective new residents and their families and supporting them through the often emotional decision of choosing the right home. I feel very privileged to be part of the wonderful team here at Ascot Grange.


When not in the office I love the outdoors and all forms of sport and recreation including running, golf, paddle boarding and skiing.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager

I started my career in care 25 years ago when I worked as a care assistant in a nursing home. This is where I found my love of caring for our older generation and I was inspired to become a nurse. I have been qualified for 14 years now working in various roles in the NHS, mainly in day surgery and surgical wards; in care homes as a senior nurse and deputy manager.


I began my journey with Ascot Grange as Nurse Care Manager in April 2022. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to work with such a wonderful team. It is my passion to make sure all residents at Ascot Grange have the best quality of care.

Having started my journey at Ascot Grange in 2020, I still feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to work in such a wonderful place with caring residents and staff alike. I have seen the home go from strength to strength and with the addition of new heads of department to the team, I am sure the home will continue to grow and increase from the solid foundations being built. I will continue to bring my knowledge from my past experiences and the experiences over the past year and continue to pair it with the vision and values that Ascot Grange and the people, both staff and residents here embody. I am looking forward to meeting you all when our current climate allows. My door will always be open if you want a chat.
