The Callywhite Care Home is a purpose built, state-of-the-art home situated in a secluded location at the edge of Dronfield village centre, overlooking Cliffe Park.

The care home provides residential care for older people and those living with dementia.

Living spaces have been designed to a high specification to ensure that staff can deliver a personalised care service to residents in a comfortable and inspiring environment.

The Callywhite care home is presented over three floors, incorporating large, en-suite bedrooms. It also has three large lounges, three dining rooms, a library, music room and an exclusive hair salon.

There is also a large secure balcony on the first floor, which looks out onto a private outdoor courtyard with a sensory garden.

My mum has dementia and started living at Callywhite, following some falls and a stay in hospital. Unfortunately, Mum's health deteriorated and she passed away after five weeks. The level of care, respect and dignity all the staff showed Mum was amazing and really made a difference to our family, particularly
towards the end. We are sad Mum wasn't around longer to enjoy life at The Callywhite but would highly recommend it.

Mum was sadly in your care for only the last five weeks of her life but she received 100 per cent totally professional care. I cannot think of one thing we would change. The facilities, rooms and management, but most importantly, the care were incredible to not only Mum but to her family too. So sad
Mum couldn't have been there longer, she would have loved it. Thank you!

My mother-in-law has resided here for three years. During that time she has been cared for by all members of staff to the highest standard. As family members we have been made welcome and supported by all the staff at The Callywhite Care Home. All members of the staff at Callywhite have been friendly
supportive and caring to my mother-in-law. I would recommend Callywhite very highly to others.

Mum has been in Callywhire for over three years with dementia. Over the last three months her condition has deteriorated, at present she is at end of life. At all times the care has been excellent but as we approach this sad time words cannot express the love and support all staff and management have
shown Mum. she is in the best place with the best care. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Callywhite, my only complaint is the staff and manager don't get the credit they deserve!

My mum has been a resident at The Callywhite Care Home for three years, in this time all the staff have shown love, care and nothing has been too much trouble. During Covid times the staff took videos of my mum happy and dancing with staff and sent them to us showing how happy she was. The staff treat
the residents like family. I wouldn't hesitate in moving a member of my family into Callywhite.

Nice care home for my Grandmother who had to sell her house for the funding at this place, which must charge top end for their services.
My grandmother's money has drastically been reduced to next to nothing given the fact she has been paying the care home for almost six years now. This month I managed
to seek some extra funding to help with her extraordinarily large top-up fee.
Guess what, the care home called me today and explained that her care is going to rise again by an extra 34 pound a week.
How much does the management really think is realistically affordable when they only get a pension.
The price of this care home must be one of the highest in the land.
Moving my grandmother to a cheaper home is not an option due to her age.
She will surely be bled dry when the end comes by this company.

During the call, it was explained to you that we regretted having to impose fee increases, but these are extraordinary times with severe inflationary pressures that we cannot possibly fully absorb. Nevertheless, we have done our very best to minimise the increases to everyone's top-up. From our knowledge of the local care home market, your Grandmother's fee is lower than most homes would charge for a new admission. Having looked at several care homes for our elderly relative with dementia, Callywhite stood out as well set up with light, airy rooms and wide corridors. No dark overhanging trees. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff with an outstandingly helpful and approachable manager. This was passed down to all
the staff who were all excellent. Happy to be rung up for progress reports and excellent in approach to the latter days. Fully and unreservedly recommended.

We cannot recommend this care home enough. It is excellent and the staff go above and beyond their duties. Mum's last few weeks were full of laughter and enjoyment. She was well looked after and ate extremely well. The staff are so friendly and helpful and kept us informed at all times. The place was
very clean and tidy. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Callywhite for your relatives. It is a lovely place and again the staff are lovely.

The Callywhite is a wonderful caring home where all residents are treated like family members, with compassion, care and dignity by the amazing staff who go "above and beyond" when needed.


Every aspect of my sisters care and wellbeing is well managed, and we are kept informed of any changes that

occur. The food provided looks appetising and nutritious, and the afternoon cakes are fab! Activities are provided most days with something to suit all tastes and interests, friends and family are encouraged to join in (outside coronavirus times). I have been to some lovely events in the past and look forward to being able to go again after the pandemic is over.


We, as a family, know my sister is in the best possible place with the knowledge that she is not only safe but very well cared for too. Well done, and a very big thank you to each and every member of staff.

I am continually impressed with the level of care provided by The Callywhite. Mum has been there for just over two years and latterly, of course, through the difficult times of covid. I live a great distance away, so even at the best of times, it isn't easy for me to see Mum, but I know that I can contact
The Callywhite at any time to find out how she is. Staff also keep in regular contact with other relatives, so I have an excellent picture of her general well-being. I was particularly grateful this month to receive some unprompted photos of Mum, sent by a member of staff, and I appreciate all the updates that reach me by email, keeping me informed of what's happening in general at the home.


I understand that there is continuity of staffing at The Callywhite. This is important for me as I know it contributes to a stable environment for Mum and is indicative that staff want to stay and hence have a good working environment themselves. I cannot thank them enough.

My friend was admitted to The Callywhite in April 2018 and passed away there in April 2020.
From the very first day, I knew the right decision had been made. My friend was happy, contented and well looked after. The quality of care given was outstanding from everyone who worked there, whatever their
role. This care was also extended to relatives and friends (and still is, when I go to visit the staff.)
In sometimes very difficult circumstances everyone remains cheerful and friendly with good humour. Everyone has time to listen and offer support when needed.
The staff have a deep understanding of the human condition and have made a real difference to our lives.
I am eternally grateful to them. They deserve huge respect and commendation.

Mum has been in Callywhite for 18 months now and we cannot thank the staff or all their support and love especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst it has been hard for all, we are so happy with how the management and staff have handled this and kept the residents safe. During this time the Deputy
Manager has worked with Mum's medical centre and has changed Mum's meds. Since this time Mum has put a stone in weight on and is a lot happier. Thank you!

The management runs a very good ship in Callywhite. Their response to Covid was excellent and very timely, and they have done an excellent job in very difficult circumstances. My Father has been in The Callywhite Nursing home for a year. It has been really good for him.
The care home manager and all the staff have been very kind to him. They are all very kind and caring, and they always encourage my father to participate in activities.
The care home is very well run. My
father enjoys the company of the staff and the other residents.
The staff are very well trained and they are doing a fantastic job. It is quite clear that they follow procedures throughout their shifts, and this shows in the level of care my father is receiving.
During the last few months, the management and staff of the care home have had to work remarkably hard with all the extra duties letting visitors return to the home. They have done a remarkable job.
So on behalf of myself and my family, we say a big "thank you."

The care home has managed the Covid-19 situation very well, going into lockdown at the earliest opportunity and only changing its policies - allowing socially distanced access - when the Govt/ Public Health England determined it as possible. The Callywhite has kept residents informed about what is happening
via email and has set up a well-organised process for enabling us to book appointments to see Mum. The home is also receptive to suggestions and I have been able to email the Manager/ phone senior staff and the Administrator. Individual care staff have been consistently pleasant and caring toward Mum and myself and genuinely shown concern about the impact of Covid-19 on visiting arrangements.

The staff at Callywhite are professional, competent and caring. The physical environment is very pleasant, a modern building with nice gardens. The rooms on the top floor are very large with high-quality ensuite shower and toilet.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the way they have been working tirelessly throughout the lockdown and subsequent social distancing visits. They are always pleasant and friendly despite having to suffer extremely hot weather conditions whilst wearing the required PPE throughout their full shift.
My mum has been a resident since the end of last year and has settled in well, though the recent circumstances have understandably been upsetting for her, but the staff have been brilliant and reassuring and have given our family the peace of mind we needed, knowing that mum is being cared for to a very high standard. A big thank you to you all from the whole family.
