Respite stay minimum of 2 weeks - from £1,550 per week.
We do not provide Nursing Dementia Care.
Visitors welcome, encouraged to avoid meal times if possible and after 8pm when residents may be relaxing in nightwear.
Parking is available on site. Visitors asked if they park on the local roads to be courteous to neighbours.

I am a qualified nurse and trained at the University of Central Lancashire, qualifying in 1999. Totalling 30 years of care/nursing experience my passion lies with care homes and I have extensive management experience as a home manager including troubleshooting, care home turnaround and Regional management. These areas have given me a wealth of knowledge and decided to come back into the daily running of the care home after being out and about travelling many miles. I am proud to be part of the team here at The Grand and to work for New Care working towards its vision. My team and I are dedicated to making each day different and special for residents.
The care we deliver is person-centred, ensuring that individual needs and requirements are met. It is important to us that residents retain as much independence as possible with support to continue pursuing the interests and hobbies they have always enjoyed.
Personal hobbies and interests include family, Horse riding and my three West Highland Terriers Dave, Dottie & Alfie, A family unit themselves – you may see them in the home occasionally.
Job Title: Deputy Manager

I have worked at New Care for 4 years and enjoyed my time at Ruddington Manor but transferred to The Grand for a new challenge a year ago. I enjoy my job as Care Manager and now ecstatic to be successful in my new role as the Deputy Manager. I am able to have autonomy in my role which help me thrive and feel satisfied in my role. It's ‘Grand at the Grand’ as we say and New Care look after their staff members really well with excellent opportunities for promotions, I can vouch for that. Every day is a different day and I love that we can make our residents' lives special. I love seeing them smile every day.
Job Title: Wellbeing Coordinator

I have worked for New Care for over 4 years. When I first walked into The Grand I was amazed that a care home could look like a hotel; I was lost for words. I began as a Senior Carer and then transferred to the Wellbeing Team. I was then given the opportunity to lead the Wellbeing team.
New Care is a very family orientated and person centred company; nothing is too much trouble to meet the resident’s needs and wishes.
I look forward to coming to work each day, and I can’t believe I get paid to do a job that I love!
Job Title: Home Trainer
Having worked for New Care for 7 years I feel that from the very beginning I knew I had made the right decision to become an employee at New Care. As New Care have in-house trainers in all of their homes this is a great advantage to the care industry as there are always opportunities for all staff members to learn new things and career development within the home gaining support and guidance from the manager and home trainer. I aim to provide top-quality training to all staff, by doing this allows staff to provide top-quality care to the residents.
