The head nurses at The Hamptons Care Centre give exceptional care to my elderly mum at all times. They are wonderful individuals and keep me informed on every aspect of Mum's health most days. The carers are also wonderful and have built up fond relationships with her. Everyone who serves the drinks,
cleans the place and even 'maintenance' has a smile on their face and greets you as you enter. The receptionists are a pleasure to deal with at all times.

The end of life being given to my partner is second to none. It goes way beyond anything we could have hoped for.
I am writing this review about the care, compassion and help I have received from staff - most recently three members in particular. They reached out and caught me as I was sinking into
a trough of despair. They have restored my sanity literally. I am myself again!

My comments in this review are 'general' and cover a period of many years. However, there have been specific instances when management communication has been disappointingly lacking, well below what is expected of any high-quality service provider. I feel that management should be more readily available,
actively more communicative and more conspicuous.

We routinely share the well-being details weekly via email, have resident & relative meetings scheduled throughout the year with minutes sent via email, regularly contact the relative groups to update and advise and spend time on each community to ensure that people are being supported effectively. My brother was placed in the home with Dementia early this year. It is a fantastic place with excellent facilities and caring staff and management. I wouldn't have wished for him to be anywhere else. My mother had also been in for 2 weeks 5 years ago for end-of-life care and the level of compassion
and respect shown to her in the short time she was resident was second to none. I would recommend The Hamptons to anyone. It is definitely the best on the Fylde Coast.

Our mum has been a resident at The Hamptons for a year.
The care has exceeded our expectations. My brother, sister and I were very worried when Mum was admitted that she would be distressed. The care and compassion Mum has received have been wonderful. She is settled, happy and content. Mum loves
the carers in the Dawson Ward who ensure her care is tailored to her needs. When Mum has been unwell, the carers have sought medical help immediately and always keep us informed.
Mum is always well groomed, her room is immaculate, and Mum loves the food! She's enjoyed many trips out. All The Hamptons team are welcoming, friendly and professional.

Very disappointed with the care my Aunt received at the Hamptons. She went there when it opened in 2017 and was asked to leave on the 21st March this year without proper warning. We knew at the end of 2022 they weren't happy with her ringing the buzzer too much but to be told in front of her that she
was being given notice to leave was heartbreaking for her. We were told it was due to OCD and her mental health which they hadn’t had her assessed for. There was no compassion and we felt that the staff have been very unsociable towards us in the time she’s been there.
We were given 28 days to find somewhere else and were told she might be sent to the hospital if we didn’t find somewhere. It was very stressful and on the day we left the manager couldn’t even be bothered to say goodbye to her. She is now in a home with very caring staff and the difference is unbelievable.
I wouldn’t even give the Hamptons one star and she was there for 5 and a half years.

If I could give zero stars I would. Firstly the positive, this is a beautiful place. However, it is not a dementia unit. The staff cannot cope with even minor incidents. My mother who is 85 and about 7 stone is being evicted after a couple of very minor incidents linked to her deteriorating condition.
After speaking to Social Services and other care providers this appears to be a regular occurrence. There is an old phrase "all fur coat and no knickers" that sums this place up perfectly. The manager is unhelpful, unyielding and not open to any form of discussion. Despicable. I now have to find mum an alternative home, go through the distressing process of moving her which I have no doubt will contribute to a worsening of her condition. The Hamptons couldn't "care" any less.

Unfortunately, as the home is only registered for residential dementia care, there are times when a resident’s needs change and they can no longer be safely cared for in the home, despite all our efforts. The home has worked closely and taken advice from all relevant professionals before making any decisions. It is with deep regret the outcome has been the need for your mother to move to a home that is better placed to care for her. Once again, we are sorry and hope your mother settles well in her new home.

Hamptons is an excellent care home. I have observed the daily life here all week, during numerous visits, and have seen an inspiring team of professional carers, nurses and management. Polite, clear communication and empathy combined with professional efficiency, this team and establishment deliver
the best human caring experience.
Today I witnessed a heart-moving 108th birthday celebration for a resident, where all residents and relatives were invited to a drink and some birthday cake. Mum joined in and enjoyed a safe, positive and loving community and was encouraged by inclusive staff. I salute you, absolutely excellent!

I would like to say a massive thank you to all at The Hamptons Care Centre.
We were so lucky to find the Hamptons when my mum needed palliative care, she spent six weeks there. All the staff treated her with great care and compassion. They were all lovely with her and really looked after her, especially
the nursing team who kept her pain-free and all the care support team that kept her comfortable. Everyone treated mum with great care, respect and dignity and I and my family will always be grateful for that. I can't thank the nurses enough. Not only for the care they showed mum but also for the support and care they gave me and my family. We couldn't have asked for more. Along with their excellent care, it's also a lovely place and a nice environment, mum was very comfortable there.

My mother, who has just passed away aged 103, has been looked after at The Hamptons Care Centre since it first opened four years ago. Nowhere could my mother have better care, in all aspects, than there. This applied for the whole time. The food menu is very varied and superbly cooked. No one is rushed,
each person may take as long as they need to finish. My mum had severe dementia, even so, with such good care, she was never unhappy and was always smiling and cheerful. This was an immense comfort to me. I shall always be very grateful to the whole staff who looked after her. Thank you.

My Dad spent the last 4 weeks of his life at The Hamptons and we couldn't have wished for better care. From the moment he first arrived, until the very end, he was looked after by an absolutely amazing team of people. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and they did everything they could to keep
him comfortable in his final weeks. The staff did a brilliant job of keeping his family informed and were so supportive in what was a really difficult and emotional time for us all. I would recommend them to anybody looking for end of life care and can't thank them enough for everything they did.

My mother moved into The Hamptons in January 2020 after a stroke. We found the staff extremely helpful and professional with us. The care extended to mum was exemplary, with nothing too much bother. The rooms and common areas were well furnished and spotless, and mum said the food was good (an unusual
compliment from her!!). The overall setting of the Home is fresh with lovely open spaces and daily activity for the guests. Mum's health deteriorated and sadly passed away in November. I cannot fault the personal care given to her during this difficult period. The staff had become her extended family, making time to talk and be with her. The nursing staff maintained active contact with us during this latter period. It may not be the most affordable of care homes, but the high standard of care and clean service provided makes it value for money. I knew mum was being well looked after.

Dad is a very fussy eater but loves the food.
Staff are outstanding.

My mother resided at The Hamptons for nearly three years. The staff were attentive and genuinely caring. Furthermore, as her physical condition deteriorated staff proactively sought to ensure that mum had the best equipment (specialised wheelchair) to match her needs.
If we did raise concerns (such
as the operation of hearing aids) then those concerns were listened to and acted upon.
We were given access to mum in her last two weeks when we were given separate access to a ground floor room - to enable us to comply with the strict Covid regulations. We will forever appreciate this chance to say our goodbyes - thank you.

Whilst enabling the move of a loved one into a care home is rarely an easy thing to come to terms with, the professionalism of the management and staff at the Hamptons made the process much easier than envisaged both for our mum and her family. During her 10 months at the Hamptons, she received a very
high level of care and this continued to be the case during the "covid lockdown" period when regular social media calls were made.
When Mum's health deteriorated, we were kept informed and the families' wishes were always taken into account. During Mum's final days, the management and staff went out of their way to ensure that her dignity was respected at all times and that she was kept comfortable. In summary: The facilities and maintenance thereof at the Hamptons is top notch but it is the level of care afforded to their residents that matters and we found it to be of a very high standard - not withstanding the very challenging circumstances thrust upon the care sector in March this year.

I qualified as a nurse in 1991, and have worked in a variety of settings including A&E, orthopaedics and specialist nursing before moving into nursing and care homes in 1994. I have experience in Home Management and Regional support and care passionately about ensuring that my teams and I provide high quality, person centred support to all the residents and their families within our communities.


Working within the New Care Homes family, I have received an incredibly warm welcome and have been impressed not just with the 5 star environments but also with the values and beliefs that are encompassed throughout the whole service. This enables the team to empower those that live with us to live their best lives knowing that they have the support and structure to reach their goals.
