I have pleasure in writing my review of Try-Celyn Court where my mother has been living since March this year. The standard of the home as a whole is extremely high, welcoming, clean, homely, the staff are well presented very experienced in their branch of care, they make my mam feel happy, safe and
belonging just like a member of the family. The food is all home cooked, very tasty and well presented and plenty of it, even personal preferences of the residents are catered for readily with no problem. Activities indoors and out are provided well with plenty every day to keep residents happy and active mentally and physically. We as a family are always made very welcome whether we are expected or not with tea, coffee etc offered. We are very well kept informed about mam constantly day and night as required which means we can relax and trust everything is being done for mam as and when needed alongside all the routine checks and care are carried out. I personally would recommend Try-Celyn Court.

For the last three months, my step mum has received wonderful care. I had an opportunity to talk to several residents there and all seem to be very comfortable and happy in the home. I personally have found the staff and management fantastic, friendly and professional. I feel the atmosphere is more
like a hotel with room service for whatever needs you require which is a big plus. The bathroom on suite, Tv and Wi-Fi are a huge plus.

My Nan came to live here in Feb 2022 as a Dementia sufferer. The care staff in the home have been amazing with her and treat her like a family member. She seems to have really settled in and has made friends with the other residents.
Staff have always taken our family's opinions and perspectives into
consideration regarding nans care and have given the resident's family's the opportunity to come and share their thoughts at a resident's meeting at the home. Regular family days are put on allowing families to celebrate with their loved ones, the most recent being a fabulous afternoon BBQ. Nan is always telling us about the activities the staff put on, on a daily basis and the staff update a Facebook group for the resident's families regularly, so we can see what they get up to. We were worried that Nan may not settle, after living in her home for 60+ years but we are really pleased that she has. Thank you TreCelyn.

Sadly on the 1st of February, we lost our lovely mum. Up until this time, we thought mum was loved and cared for by the home. Sadly we have found this not to be true. We have received more than one phone call from a carer on behalf of the manager to get mum's personal things. Also again today the same
phone call and actually my son was already in their car park at the time of the phone call. We as a family feel our mother and ourselves have been shown absolutely no respect at all. All the manager seems to want is mum's things gone which we would have done after we had buried our beloved mother. They have an empty building where they could have put mum's things and given us the dignity time and respect to bury her first. Sadly this time wasn’t given any respect shown whatsoever. After all, we only got mums body back from the coroners yesterday so have had no time to even start to grieve properly.

My Mum recently spent a 3 week period of respite care at Try-Celyn-Court. Prior to her admission, the manager, visited us to discuss Mums stay. We were delighted that she immediately struck up a rapport with Mum and us, gaining our confidence and allaying any fears and concerns we might have had about
Mums impending stay. She articulated clearly what would happen when Mum entered the home and how she would be integrated and treated and her daily routines followed so that no distress or upset would occur.
At the end of her stay, my husband and I were amazed at how well Mum looked. She was happy, content and in good spirits. It was very apparent she had been afforded great care by a very well-intentioned, helpful, knowledgeable and professional team. We would have no hesitation in recommending this home for respite care.

My mother has lived here for the last 3 years and the family can relax knowing that she is well looked after.
Wonderful staff who look after the residents every need.
Activities to encourage the residents to interact.
If I needed to go into a residential home this is where I would go.
