Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We welcome feedback for all our homes and generally people have positive things to say about the care we provide and the dedicated and hardworking colleagues who deliver that care. Our team members receive a great deal of training and ongoing mentoring to help them provide the best possible support for all residents including those who live with dementia. They also have access to award-winning dementia experts who can help them find solutions if a resident has particular needs that they have not encountered before.

We were very surprised to hear your comments around the care delivered as Trymview Hall has just received its first CQC result, and we are very proud to say we scored an overall ‘Good’ result with a score of ‘Good’ in every aspect of care. We support residents nutritionally and in accordance with their needs and always strive to ensure everyone stays hydrated, so we are sorry to hear that this wasn’t your experience. We also support residents to communicate with their loved ones and help them to design their own ‘keeping in touch’ plan. We encourage the use of all forms of communication and technologies to keep in touch with family and friends as we know how precious sharing experiences and updates can be for loved ones. I would like to assure you we have looked into your concerns around laundry and we are pleased to say that the pair of socks that was lost are being returned to you. Regarding bathing, we did offer a bath or shower to your loved one every day and on the days he did accept, he always did have a bath or shower. If you would like to discuss your concerns in more detail please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I’m an experienced nurse and care Home Manager and I joined Care UK in early 2019.
I used to work in one of the organisation’s Edinburgh care homes. Care UK’s values and ethos of care chimed with my own personal approach to care, so I was keen to join this forward-thinking organisation.
Being an effective home manager demands a range of skills, from great people skills to good organisational ability. It’s vital to have a holistic and proactive approach as well. Far and away the best part of my day is spending time with residents and seeing them enjoying a superb quality of life.
I’m passionate about delivering excellent care and I love working as part of our committed and skilled team here at Trymview Hall. We put residents and their families first and foremost in everything we do. We’re proud of our ‘good’ CQC rating, and I’m looking forward to supporting the team to achieve even greater things.
