Ward Green Lodge is a fantastic care home with great staff, some of the staff though are a little rude when questioned about how the residents is being cared for i.e asking questions about there health some are happy to tell you and some try and put it off by changing the subject to something else.
The price per week for residents to stay in the home is extortionate plus top ups on top of that, other than that the overall place is great and very clean.

My relative has been in Ward Green Lodge for 10 months. During this time she has been well cared for and has on the whole been happy. She is not always easy to deal with and can be very demanding but staff have been able to cope with her and she loves them all! I have been able to go home to Belfast
and know that she is in a safe, clean and friendly environment. If unwell she gets prompt medical attention. I can ring at any time and when i visit i feel welcome and very much at home!

Having made the most difficult decision and accepting that our much loved Mum required 24 hour care, it was vitally important to us to find someone who could provide the care she deserved. As luck would have it we found Ward Green Lodge, who have more than exceeded our expectations.


I cannot thank

everyone of the amazing staff for the care and friendship they have given to Mum from the first day we walked through their door. She was immediately made to feel welcome and at home, like a returning member of the family.
The difference in Mums illness is unbelievable since her move to Ward Green Lodge, she is happy and relaxed and as near to her old self that I have seen for a very long time. This drastic improvement in my Mums life is a testament to the fantastic management and absolutely phenomenal care team.
I truly cannot thank you enough for the care that you have not only shown my Mum but have extended to myself and my whole family at the most difficult time of our lives. Thank you.

I have been volunteering at Ward Green Lodge since July 2015, offering hand/arm massage and manicures to the residents. Encouraging reminiscence, conversation and socialisation to residents, and complimenting activities that are provided by staff members there and assist them in providing a stimulating
and safe living environment.
I have worked within the NHS and Criminal Justice System all my working life, and Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable adults was also part of my remit. This has been my first experience of volunteering (although I have experience of using volunteers, professionally and successfully in the past) and of working within a residential/early EMI unit, and I feel that Ward Green Lodge provides a level of care that far excels my expectations. The day to day care provided to residents is a pleasure to witness , they work with the residents and their families to ensure a continuity of care. Working well with families and encourage effective, and on going communication with outside professional bodies, such as G.P's, district nursing, chiropody, pharmacy and hairdressing, providing an holistic service. The environment is exceptional, and I would have no qualms in residing there myself. I have to say I have exacting expectations, and Ward Green Lodge certainly match up! Well done to the Manager and her fabulous staff in making this environment, happy, friendly and caring, not only to residents and their families but also to volunteers! It is a pleasure to compliment, and not to complain.

My mum was admitted to Ward Green Lodge after a two month stay in hospital. We as a family were told there was nothing more they could do for her. After many sleepless nights of worry as to where we could take mum we then went to visit Ward Green. We were most pleased with the reception we were given
at this very uncertain time. Mum was assessed by the Managers and made mum feel at ease and were so friendly. On the day she went to Ward Green it was a very emotional time for all the family and especially mum who was to be left alone with strangers. Well after three weeks what a change I have seen in her health. She gets out of bed, eats in the dining room and socialises with everyone. This would not have happened without the care of all at Ward Green but I have some personal thanks to the two carers who were with her on her first morning. You were amazing then and you still are. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they also make us feel cared for when mum is not so good. Another staff member is a diamond. She has a heart of gold and is very professional in all aspects of her work. Again nothing is too much trouble for her with anything that you ask her to do for you. Everyone I have personal contact with are such caring people in some difficult times in peoples lives. Keep up the good work, we thank you all.

Ward Green Lodge is a warm, friendly and loving residential home. We chose it for Mum because of the bright, attractive, spacious surroundings. The staff are endlessly patient, respectful and FUN. The manager's door is always open so if there are any aspects of care to discuss these are usually dealt
with speedily. Mum reports that the food is excellent, tasty and plentiful. The outside environment is also well planted with great care given to raised, scented flower beds and attractive seating areas.


Living as I do out of the area, I have absolutely no worries about Mum's daily care, knowing that she is in a safe, loving environment. I highly recommend Ward Green Lodge

After living alone our 94 year old mum arrived at Ward Green lodge to a very warm welcome from the lovely staff in May this year. Mum has dementia but soon settled .Her quality of life has improved (she communicates better and is more mobile) thanks to the excellent care she receives. We have peace
of mind knowing she is safe and well cared for in a beautiful home.
