Our all inclusive fee gives peace of mind and allows residents to enjoy our facilities and services without having to worry about extra costs. It includes a weekly appointment at our onsite hair salon, regular chiropody appointments, a full and varied activity programme, fitness session, bi-monthly outings.
York Manor stands by the Tanglewood philosophy of door is always open, please note do not have set visiting hours believe that guests should be welcome at any time and therefore no set visiting hours.

Rachel started her career in Health and Social care in 2009 as a care assistant.
In 2012, she took up the post of senior carer for a small, family-run business consisting of three homes. During her seven years working for that company, she progressed from a level 3 to a level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care. While working there she discovered that her passion was complex dementia care, and in 2017, she took on the post of registered manager.
In the summer of 2018, Rachel left to take on different challenges, managing a further two care homes that were in need of lots of support. Rachel loved creating good working relationships with the main stakeholders and improving the reputation of each service.
Rachel always places residents’ best interests at the forefront of her decision-making. She is passionate and dedicated, and it brings her great satisfaction to know that her residents live in a happy home and that her staff work in a happy workplace.
