The aim is to help older people in the community, either living alone or with a carer. Carers will work with you to help you maintain your independence. They provide care that offers privacy, respect and dignity to each individual.
Greenhill Way Day Centre is a single story building, purpose built and able to offer care to customers on a daily basis. There are aids and adaptations to assist you to remain independent when attending the Centre. Care is provided by full trained staff, who are on duty throughout the day to support you with your individual needs.
The Centre is comfortably furnished with a lounge and dining area. There is a garden and patio area for customer use.
Toilets are equipped with emergency alarms and a hoist is available if necessary.
They provide;

Refreshments through the day, including a cooked lunch with a choice of menu
Specialist transport with an escort to and from the Centre, which can accommodate a small number of wheelchairs
Optional activities, handicrafts, group discussions, sing-along’s, bingo, cards
Privacy to discuss any problems
Support and advice for you and your family
Television, radio music groups, library facilities
The opportunity to be involved in decisions affecting the centre
Hairdressing
Help arranging health services such as medical, optical, dental care and chiropody
Support for your cultural or ethnic needs
Links with the local community i.e. school, churches
Owned and run by Solihull MBC and referrals can be made via a social worker or by individuals looking for Day care for themselves or a family member.
