The friendship club at the Guild Care Centre is a gathering of people aged 70 and over who want to make friends, relax and enjoy themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

The service runs from Methold House every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30 am to 3 pm.

On Thursdays the service runs from The Lovett Centre, 9.30 am to 3 pm.

A typical day starts with a hot beverage and the chance to socialise. There is then a range of small group activities, including quizzes, exercise groups, a craft group, use of an outdoor gym and bingo.

At 12.30 pm everything stops for lunch, before an afternoon of entertainment, including live musicians, singalongs and dancing. People can engage in as much or as little as they would like to throughout the day.

So whether looking for good company, an opportunity to try something different or just want to pop in for lunch and some afternoon entertainment, please come along.

The daily charge is £12, which entitles the attendee to a home-cooked two-course lunch and all activities on offer. Accessible transport to and from the service is available via Guild Care minibus at an additional cost of £6 per day, subject to availability.

The onsite hair and beauty salon also offers wellbeing and therapeutic treatments including hairdressing, facials, massage, nail care, chiropody and beauty treatments at an additional cost.
