Foresters Day Centre is an established day support service which has been offering care and support to people with dementia in Salisbury and the surrounding area for over 20 years.

All the staff are established, experienced and well trained in dementia care and support.

Alzheimer's Society day care and support service provides care and support for a person with dementia during the day in a safe and comfortable environment.

People with dementia are provided with the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities and stimulation through social contact. The service facilitates opportunities to relearn skills they may have lost or to learn new skills to be able to cope with changing circumstances.

The service also provides access to information and peer support.

People with dementia will be supported to make informed choices on how they spend their time away from home and will be encouraged to maintain independence, but will, where appropriate, be supported to attend to their own health and personal care needs.

Day care and support can help a person with dementia to feel less isolated and to feel valued and useful.

Foresters Day Centre regularly welcome volunteers to the service, contact them for more information.

My husband has been happily attending Foresters twice a week for a number of years. He is extremely contented there and looks forward to his visits. There is continuity of staff all of whom are very likeable, caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
