Himley Manor Care Home, in Dudley, has undergone a complete refurbishment and has opened its doors to residents. Formerly Grange Park Care Centre, the home was bought from administrators FRP Advisory LLP as an empty property. FRP Advisory LLP appointed DC Care and Edward Symmons as joint agents for this and another home in administration.

Mr and Mrs Qayum have transformed Himley Manor, providing a bright and welcoming environment. Alison Taylor of DC Care attended an open day at the home and commented; “I don’t usually get to see homes once we’ve sold them, so this is a real treat for me. I am absolutely delighted that the home has re-opened and was very impressed by the refurbishment. I’m sure Mr and Mrs Quayum will see their efforts repaid with the arrival of more service users.”

Mrs Qayum was in the processing of selling a care home business in another city when she noticed Grange Park Care Centre was for sale. She hadn’t initially intended going to the Open Day hosted by DC Care but is now very glad her husband pushed her to attend. She said; “Although these projects are always hard work, the results are more than worth it. I am so excited about the home becoming an integral part of the local community again. Our aim is to ensure people feel like they belong here and that this really is their home. I have an excellent manager and a caring team in place and we can’t wait to meet the new service users who will become part of our family.”
