The Surrey based group comprising 5 residential properties, with capacity for 36 residents was formed in 2002 by Gabby & Graham Smith. Heathcotes will continue to provide high quality residential services across the services in Sutton, Carlshalton & Banstead and will be expanding their services in the South to provide person-centred specialist residential accommodation for adults with Autism Learning Disabilities and Mental Illness and associated challenging behaviours.

Commenting on the sale for DC Care, southern based business appraiser, Andy Sandel said "Heathcotes are one of a large number of specialist providers that we deal with that are very keen to expand their business, particularly in the south. The sale of Chatsworth Care was carried out discreetly with the staff, residents and families being informed prior to completion. I know that the decision to sell the business was a difficult one for Mr & Mrs Smith but I think we managed to find the ideal purchaser in Heathcotes."

Andy Sandel went on to say "With demand for acquisitions in the specialist care sector so strong at present DC Care are keen to hear from owners that maybe considering their options. We currently have several similar sized groups under offer, and personally I haven’t seen this much activity and this amount of funding available for acquisitions for many years."
