Stildon Mews is a purpose-built development of 11 two-bedroomed apartments set in the grounds of Brendoncare Stildon care home.

Extra care housing enables people to continue leading active, independent lives in their own homes with full access to personal care and support 24 hours a day.

The apartments are built to an impeccable standard, all having a fully fitted kitchen, spacious bathroom, patio or view across the gardens. All are fully carpeted with vinyl flooring in both the kitchen and bathroom. The design is also easily accessible by wheelchair users, and there is designated parking for residents.

Located a 15 minute walk or a short drive away is the historic West Sussex town of East Grinstead.

My brother and I looked at several homes in West and East Susses before deciding on Brendoncare Stildon Mews - was a clear stand-out home. From the moment we stepped into the Bursar. Clean and tidy in all departments but what stood out was the people all were friends and caring and helpful. My mother
received excellent care during her stay.

My father lives in one of the Mews flats which are part of the Brendoncare Stildon community. Since he moved in about 18 months ago, he has constantly been singing the praises of the care staff and telling us how happy he is there. The building is very nicely decorated and the gardens well kept; it
is a friendly atmosphere and the staff are attentive. Being in one of the attached flats means that Dad can live as independently as he wishes, with the security that he has trained care staff on call if ever needed and the option to increase levels of personal support should his future needs change.
It is a great comfort to know that Dad is in such safe hands and feels so at home at Stildon Mews.

The staff are friendly and the nurses are good and very helpful and good with explaining when asked questions.

Annie Burisky

Job Title: General Manager

I have come full circle, I began my career as a care assistant at Brendoncare Stildon and it is a huge privilege to be General Manager at this wonderful home.


In the interim years, I moved into the wider care sector and spent over 20 years working in staff development, recruitment and human resources in the care industry. I worked with elderly people and people with dementia, and have worked within residential communities and secure dementia communities.


I hold a Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and have many training qualifications.


As General Manager, I oversee the management of Brendoncare Stildon nursing home and work alongside highly skilled nurses, care assistants, administrators and ancillary staff. I manage the integral day centre for people with dementia. In addition, I support the residents of the ‘close care’ apartments adjoining the nursing home.


I am delighted to be part of this friendly forward-thinking team.


The company puts people at the centre of everything they do, both in the care we provide to those we look after and the support and opportunities we give to staff.


In my spare time, I enjoy travelling to warmer climes, cooking and entertaining. I like to practise yoga and enjoy spending time with my two granddaughters.
