Its aim is to provide an environment where older people can maintain their independence throughout later life. It is suitable for young retirees though to older people who need specialist nursing care. It offers:

Hartrigg Oaks care team enabled me with their excellent help, to go on caring for my husband at home as his health failed rapidly. I needed that help. It made it possible for him to remain cared for in his own home until the end. Until his decline he had been enjoying the excellent facilities of Hartrigg
Oaks, receiving weekly individual sessions in the health activity centre for back support.
My rating is in relation to this period and need.

I am General Manager and I oversee building compliance and Bungalow Domiciliary Care.


I have over 35 years of care experience and over 7 years of Housing with a Care background.


I hold qualifications in the following areas
NVQ 5 Leadership and Management
Level 5 Health and Social Care.
Property Law
Holistic Therapy
Bereavement Counselling
Equality and Diversity


I have always enjoyed working at Hartrigg Oaks. While run by JRHT the residents are actively involved in decision making and I value their contributions. As a result, there is a thriving and vibrant community that makes this a rewarding and enjoyable environment for me and my team to work in.
