Staff are very good, helpful and excellent support. COVID was still interfering with activities. Food was same menu every month but has since improved. Portions are generous but too much for me. The temperature is too warm for me. The cleanliness and cleaning is very good. Those outside activities are
difficult for me and my reduced mobility stops me doing them. Indoor activities could be improved with interesting speakers on topics and also quizzes would be welcome.

So far my stay here (nine and a half years) has been happy enough.

Six months ago I moved into an apartment in Headingly Hall and my experience has been more than satisfactory. Everyone is helpful and in most cases cheerful, my apartment is pleasant and now feels like home, so there are no regrets about the decision to live here.

I have been here for 4+ years and have not only no complaints to report but have never ceased to rejoice in my good fortune for having found it.
The strength of this place is primarily its staff, intelligent, kind, over helpful and never hurried.
All of this is achieved despite the staff shortages.
This has been done with only one price rise (6%) in four years.

The outreach staff are outstanding - unfailingly friendly and obliging. Management is somewhat less so: additional help (with medication) is overcharged or denied and I do wonder whether the funding/conditions for night staff is adequate to attract the right calibre of applicant.
The food and drink
vary in quality, but I find them generally acceptable.

The care, support and facilities at Headingley Hall Apartments is outstanding. This has always been my opinion after the last four years. However, since lockdown on the 23rd March 2020, this opinion has only been reinforced. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Great job everyone and a huge thank
you!

My wife and myself have been in Headunglety Hall for about one year. We are very comfortable in our apartment and have accepted the meals and activities we are given. The practice of not being introduced to other guests puzzles us!

I have lived here for eight years. I feel safe here, and the staff come very quickly when requested. The food was very good and well-cooked but has gradually deteriorated despite plans to better the menus and we think the amount of food served is smaller.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.208)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.208) out of 10 for Headingley Hall Apartments is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Extra Care Housing is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.208 for Headingley Hall Apartments is calculated as follows: ( (33 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (14 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.208

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    5 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months: 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.5 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.5, 5th = 0.5)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Headingley Hall Apartments is based on 6 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Extra Care Housing does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
