Carers at Ruslington Hall will strive to preserve and maintain dignity, independence, individuality and privacy of all Residents within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will remain sensitive to their everchanging needs, such needs may be medical, therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised service user guide in which involvement of family, friends and key workers are appropriate and greatly valued.


This will be achieved through development for the residents' Care Plan (Where appropriate), this is being used as a snap shot, from which to develop as they/you begin to gain knowledge of the service user. Where there is no input from social services, the use of activities designed to encourage mental alertness, self-esteem, social interaction with other residents, along side input from other health care professionals will be used to develop and deliver the plan of care.

All staff within the Home will be appropriately trained to deliver high standards of care. A continuous staff training culture is essential to ensure that high standards are maintained in line with the latest development in care practises as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, regulations and the Care Quality Commission.
