Chef Wanted for Dementia Residential Care Home

Glendon House is a Registered Care Home in Overstrand, Cromer, specialising in Dementia. Norfolk Care Award winner 2021 for Outstanding Achievement. We are now looking to recruit a professional and reliable full-time chef who understands the importance of maintaining standards in a busy kitchen. As a Chef you will prepare a good standard of food and have a knowledge of specialist diets such as diabetic or fortified diets.

We currently have a full-time position available

·  5 x 7hr (7am until 2pm) working on a 2-week rota.

·  Shift pattern includes working every other weekend

 We Offer our Kitchen Assistants:

·  Excellent Rate of pay £12.88 per hour this could be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience 

·  Bonus scheme for overtime shifts £10 weekdays/£15 weekends

·  A full induction & on going fully certified training to support your development

·  £300.00 bonus after completion of 3 months’ probation.

·  Experience is essential of managing and running a small kitchen

·  Excellent communication and team working skills

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NVQ in Hospitality and other associated catering qualifications
  • Basic Food Hygiene Knowledge of food safety and running of a small kitchen
  • knowledge of specialist diets and allergens
