Care Assistant - Specialist Unit - £10.20 per hour.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Care Assistants - Days or Nights -  experienced in EMI/ Dementia and Complex care to work in our newly commissioned 19 bed dementia specialist, male only facility situated within this beautiful, purpose built 112 bed home in Tag Lane, Ingol, Preston.

As a Care Assistant you must:

• Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
• Be alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing
• Respect the residents’ dignity and privacy
• Work with residents and their families to deliver tailored care to each individual
• Assist with mealtimes and safe moving
• Maintain accurate records for each resident

• Have strong interpersonal skills

• Have the ability to use initiative
• Previous working experience within a complex care EMI/Dementia Setting
• Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of this specialist Unit as some of the service users will express acute distressed and or challenging behaviour

Qualifications

• An NVQ level 2 in health & social care is essential along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care.
