About the role
As a Kitchen Assistant at MHA, you will be part of a dedicated
team who prepare and serve meals for residents and staff.
Duties will be varied and include basic cooking and cleaning along with respect for older people. Every day will be different, and you will have the opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference.
About the home
Edina Court features 59 spacious and modern apartments
thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of older people. Here, you can
enjoy the tranquillity of beautifully landscaped gardens, unwind in
the welcoming communal lounge, or host friends and family in the
comfortable guest room. With an on-site housing manager available to
assist with any needs, peace of mind is always close at hand.
About you
The right values, attitude and behaviours are more important
than your previous career background. Therefore, whilst previous
experience is desirable, your respect for older people and willingness
to undertake training is more important.
You don't need any
qualifications to get started as a Kitchen Assistant. You will have a
kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a
team but also use your own initiative.
MHA are fully committed to the principles of equality, diversity and
inclusion (EDI) as this is embedded in our values: respect, nurture
and inspire. In addition, as a committed employer we have been awarded
level 2 under the Disability Confident Scheme.
Please note that interviews may take place prior to the closing
date and if a suitable candidate is appointed the role may close early.
Recruitment agencies: please note, MHA do not accept
unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies, regardless of whether they
are on our Preferred Supplier List (PSL). We only accept CVs from
agencies that have been appointed and briefed by MHA's Talent
Acquisition Team.
