About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join a well-established, 70-bedded nursing home in Crawley. This role will involve providing vital day-to-day office support to the manager and head office, as well as actively contributing to the development and improvement of the service through various projects.

As an Administrator, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, as well as within the team when required. You will need to be adaptable and able to thrive in a busy environment, responding well to the varied and dynamic nature of the role. You will also be someone who is approachable and friendly, capable of managing competing demands, and can effectively handle pressure while completing tasks quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level office support to the manager and head office, ensuring smooth operational efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas and assist in projects to improve and develop the service.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, filing, and correspondence.
  • Work independently, while also collaborating effectively with the team to meet the needs of the service.
  • Help resolve IT issues, ensuring staff can efficiently use both software and hardware resources.
  • Handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances as required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Highly capable of using IT systems and software, with strong problem-solving abilities related to IT issues.
  • Proactive and able to use initiative in solving problems and improving processes.
  • Friendly and approachable, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively under pressure.

Desirable:

  • At least 1 year of administrative experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience in an office or healthcare-related environment is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using a range of office software and hardware.
