Brelades is a well-established 70-bed care home offering both nursing and residential care. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Home Manager to lead our home and ensure excellence in care delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of Brelades, ensuring the provision of high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Provide leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork, compassion, and professionalism.
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including CIW standards, health and safety legislation, and local authority guidelines.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve the home's occupancy levels and reputation within the community.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial performance aligns with organizational targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
Lead recruitment, retention, and staff development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a senior leadership role within a nursing or residential care setting.
Strong knowledge of CIW regulations and compliance standards.
A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent).
Nursing qualification and active NMC registration (preferred but not essential).
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
A passion for delivering person-centered care and promoting dignity and respect.
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
