As a Night Care Assistant you will have a Senior role, working closely as a team with the other Night care Assistants to maintain the effective running of the home. This involves having responsibility for the home overnight and responding in a timely and professional manner to any emergencies which occur.
You will be closely supporting our residents to provide person centred care and enable them to do everything they need to do to live well. All of our Carers work together as part of a team to provide quality care. Essentially, you put the comfort, happiness and safety of our residents first - and do what you can to support them.
A Night Care Assistant is one of our most essential role and involves:
· Supporting our residents by helping with their personal care.
· Administering medication
· Providing companionship and making someone’s night more comfortable.
· Keeping clear and accurate computerised records of the care and support provided.
· Undertaking practical duties where necessary including cleaning, laundry and light kitchen duties.
Skills / Qualifications:
- A caring
- kind and empathetic approach. · To be passionate about making a difference. · Good communication skills. · To work flexibly including alternate weekends. · A basic level of IT · Preferably 6 months to 1-year care experience.
