SETTING: Residential Care Home

(on-site parking available, under 1 mile from Amersham Underground Station – Metropolitan line.

FULL TIME DAY SHIFTS AVAILABLE Day or Night

ESSENTIAL: Must have at least 1 year of care experience and have or be prepared to work towards NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care.

DESIRABLE: Experience administering medication

What we are looking for

You’re someone that cares for others and wants to make a real difference to people’s lives. You will be someone that can lead by example. You will have at least 1 year of care experience and have (or be prepared to work towards) an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care. You will be able to lead a team of carers, supervising them and supporting them with personal care as well as dispensing medication, supporting the manager and liaising with external professionals and relatives of our residents.

You understand there will be challenging days, but you’ll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents and your colleagues. You’ll cherish the rewarding moments you have with our residents each and every day.

Your typical day

  • Supporting the Registered Manager as well as the care team
  • Carrying out audits
  • Assisting with the staff rota
  • Communicating with our local GP, hospitals and other professionals
  • Updating and adding new residents to our electronic care plan system
  • Ensure monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents and reporting any significant changes
  • Updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
  • Attending staff meetings
