Maintenance Person

Maintenance Person required at a friendly, 25 bed Residential Care Home for the elderly in Talbot Woods.

Ideally we are looking for someone who can work weekday mornings, who could be flexible with their availability for work, be available for longer, one off jobs such as room redecoration and refurbishment and who would be able to attend the home in the event of an emergency, outside of normal working hours.

A suitable person would be competent in a range of skills such as plumbing, electrical work, decorating and able to put their hand to any odd jobs which might arise.

Responsibilities to include:

• Keeping premises tidy (sweeping, power washing etc.)
• Maintaining Decor
• Minor electrical works
• Health & Safety Compliance Checks (e.g. water temp. checks, legionella schedule, testing fire alarm etc.)
• Basic Gardening
• Fixing minor plumbing issues
• Fixing defects (light bulbs, door locks, etc.)
• Moving furniture & equipment where needed
• Running errands for residents
• Business use car insurance cost covered
• Mileage allowance for vehicle business miles incurred

We are flexible with working hours and patterns to suit the right applicant and any other commitments that there might be.

DBS check will be necessary at our cost.
