We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Senior Carer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care setting and a passion for providing high-quality support to our residents during the nighttime hours. As a Night Senior Carer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents while helping to lead and supervise the night care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained.
  • Monitor and assist residents with their nightly routines, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and medication administration.
  • Lead and supervise other care staff on the night shift, ensuring that all care standards and protocols are followed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, documenting any changes in residents’ conditions and reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to emergency situations effectively and calmly, providing immediate support to residents as needed.
  • Assist with meal preparations, serving, and feeding residents as required.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance care delivery and skill set.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a residential care setting is preferred.
  • A valid Care Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • A compassionate and empathetic attitude towards the elderly and individuals with varying levels of needs.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
