Working Pattern: Working on a Rota basis 8pm – 8am

Hourly Rate: Up to - £13.60 (dependent on qualification/s)

Qualification: Hold or willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3

Duties

Enabling residents to live their life to the full.

Provide support and companionship in a stimulating and homely environment.

You will be supporting our residents with day to day living (bathing, dressing and personal care) and promoting their life choices and wellbeing.

Contributing to the care planning process and administering medication

Essential Criteria / Desirable Criteria

Personal Qualities

· Warm and friendly

· Positive person with a fun outlook on life and full of smiles

· Genuine interest in working with the elderly

· Excellent communication skills

Knowledge

· Understanding what it means to ‘care’

· Demonstrate compassion and empathy

· Experienced in administering medication

· Hold NVQ/RQF or other recognized qualification in Health and Social Care

· Willingness to keep learning

Abilities / Skills

· Caring and committed to working to high standards

· Ability to build and maintain positive professional working relationships

· Ability to work on own initiative

· Be able to work flexibly

· Work effectively as part of a team

Experience

· Demonstrate dignity, privacy, equality, diversity and respecting resident’s rights.

· Working within a Care setting or care of a relative/friend

· Demonstrating person centered care

· Knowledge of Dementia/End of Life care

- Competent in administering medication.

- Experience in leading a team
