About the role

As a Kitchen Assistant at MHA, you will be part of a dedicated team who prepares and serves meals for residents and staff.

About the home

Trembaths care home in Letchworth

The word 'pioneer' probably isn't something you'd associate with a quiet care home in Letchworth, but that's precisely the way we'd describe MHA's Trembaths.

When we opened our doors in 1989, Trembaths was the first nursing home in the whole of MHA. In the UK's first ever garden city. The solar panels spanning our building were something of a 'first' too, meaning we've been helping to set trends for 25-years.

But the first thing you'll notice when you arrive at Trembaths isn't the pioneering spirit. It's the feeling of warmth. The sense that you're surrounded by people that care. That you're at home. And that you're welcome to live the life you choose, without a moment of hesitation.

About you

The right values, attitude and behaviours are more important than your previous career background. Therefore, whilst previous experience is desirable, your respect for older people and willingness to undertake training is more important.

You don't need any qualifications to get started as a Kitchen Assistant. You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative.

MHA are fully committed to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) as this is embedded in our values: respect, nurture and inspire. In addition, as a committed employer we have been awarded level 2 under the Disability Confident Scheme.

Please note that interviews may take place prior to the closing date and if a suitable candidate is appointed the role may close early.

Recruitment agencies: please note, MHA do not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies, regardless of whether they are on our Preferred Supplier List (PSL). We only accept CVs from agencies that have been appointed and briefed by MHA's Talent Acquisition Team.
