Full time Nurse - up to 42 hours per week based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.

We are looking for a first class Registered Nurse to join our clinical team supporting the development and delivery of high quality care.

An interest or experience of working with Montessori principles would be advantageous.

About the role:

Edensor is part of Diagrama Foundation UK – an exciting and innovative charity which supports vulnerable people and encourages staff to think out of the box to find interesting solutions to a variety of challenges.

You will be a Level One Nurse with up-to-date NMC PIN registration, able to provide essential nursing care and support to all service users in a role which is pivotal to helping our residents retain as much independence as possible. You will be a consistent and caring role model who works effectively in a multi-disciplinary team offering support and leadership to care staff as required. You will always lead by example and ensure all relevant records and reports are completed accurately and within required timescales to comply with legislation, NMC guidelines and Diagrama policy.

You will also:

  • Produce, implement, and review resident care plans, ensuring any changes are communicated to team members
  • Monitor the delivery of care to ensure high standards are maintained Ensure clear communicating systems relating to clinical care are used effectively by all staff
  • Promote and comply with the clinical governance framework, including participation Maintain skills and knowledge to ensure care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice
  • Create a caring and supportive environment in which residents can reach their full potential both physically and mentally
  • Ensure own and, when appropriate, other’s actions reduce risks to health and safety
  • Be an ambassador for Edensor and the Diagrama Foundation, supporting the promotion of the service to the public, for example during visits to the home.
  • Undertake any other duties as required from time to time.

Your qualities:

You will be trustworthy, caring and able to demonstrate your compassionate nature.

Your skills and competencies will align to Diagrama’s values alongside an excellent level of competency in clinical skills.

You will enjoy working as part of a busy team and your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to competently and effectively lead and support/ mentor other staff members.

You will have prior experience in caring for the elderly and/or persons with mental health needs.

You are likely to have competent computer skills.

Excellent competency in clinical skills would be essential.
