Care Assistant

A Care Assistants role revolves around helping residents with their immediate needs such as washing, dressing and maintaining their hygiene as well as helping with basic day to day tasks like eating and drinking. 

This is a role that requires patience, understanding, empathy and to some degree, a sense of humour. Being able to build a rapour with the residents is a key element to allowing them to feel relaxed in their new home. 

Trust is also an important element between you and the resident, and between the team as a whole. 

Being a Care Assistant means supporting the elderly at a difficult time in their lives. There is no room for ignorance, assumption or carelessness.
