Job Description

Care Assistant (Nights) with paid breaks

Trentham House Care Home are currently recruiting for experienced and caring Care Assistants with a minimum preferably one years experience working in a General nursing Unit. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join their team and provide care and support to residents living within our large prestigious Nursing Home based in Trentham

The successful applicant will be contracted to weekly hours, full time and part time night shift positions available over a 7 day working rota

We are currently offering a £500 welcome bonus to all new starters, also a £500 reefer a friend scheme

All new starters receive a free blue light card, DBS and uniform

Please note this is for Night shifts only hours 8.00pm - 8.00am paid breaks

Enhanced rates of pay for applicants who are NVQ Level 3 qualified in Health & Social Care

Overview of what the home provides:

  • Care for residents who have an illness or medical condition requiring frequent medical attention supervised day and night by registered nurses
  • Specialist care and support for residents who have been diagnosed with Dementia
  • Care and support to elderly residents within a residential setting
  • End of life care, treatment and support for residents and families

Your role and responsibilities:

The role of a carer is to give direct patient care to our Residents with Dementia as directed by a trained nurse and support the resident in his/her plan of care

Duties will include:

  • Assist residents with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing, dressing, toileting etc
  • Assist residents with mobility - including hoisting
  • Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities
  • Assist nurses with preparation of a resident for treatment
  • Complete all documentation as requested by the unit manager/nurse
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home
