CARE ASSISTANT/SUPPORT WORKER (DAY SHIFT)

Trentham House Care Home is a modern style purpose built Family run Care Home registered for Nursing and Residential Care.

We are seeing to recruit Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our team as we have recently increased our occupancy.

Care work can be a very rewarding career. It involves helping residents to live with dignity assisting with their every day needs such as washing, dressing and feeding. If this type of work appeals to you, we can offer a range of shifts to fit in with your home life.

The successful applicant will be contracted to weekly hours, full time and part time night shift positions available over a 7 day working rota

We are currently offering a £500 welcome bonus to all new starters upon the successful completion of 12 week probation.

Please note:

Day shift, Hours - 8.00am to 8.00pm

Enhanced rates of pay for applicants who are NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification in Health & Social Care

Overview of what the home provides:

  • Care for residents who have an illness or medical condition requiring frequent medical attention supervised day and night by registered nurses
  • Specialist care and support for residents who have been diagnosed with Dementia
  • Care and support to elderly residents within a residential setting
  • End of life care, treatment and support for residents and families

Your role and responsibilities:

The role of a carer is to give direct patient care to our Residents with Dementia as directed by a trained nurse and support the resident in his/her plan of care

Duties will include:

  • Assist residents who have Dementia with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing, dressing, toileting etc
  • Assist residents with mobility - including hoisting
  • Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities
  • Assist nurses with preparation of a resident for treatment
  • Complete all documentation as requested by the unit manager/nurse
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home
