Emerson Grange is an 85 bedded care home that provides the most luxurious surroundings and the very best in care and support in Hextable, Kent.  As part of the Care Village there are also 47 luxurious retirement apartments - Emerson Park - which has access to the range of first-class village facilities.

We are looking for a full time driver to work alongside our Apartments Coordinator to provide transport for our apartment owners. This is a predominantly Monday to Friday role however, flexibility will be required to cover adhoc weekend transport needs.  Your assistance may also be required in helping with any mobility issues.

Working alongside the Apartments Coordinator, you may be asked to undertake other adhoc duties to be of assistance to our apartment owners, including helping to serve lunch in the Apartment Owner’s lounge.

Duties will include:

• Provide scheduled transport for our Apartment Owners
• Carry out scheduled checks on all company vehicles, recording checks on appropriate documentation.
• Report any vehicle defects as soon as identified and, if necessary, investigate and report findings.
• Ensure that the Company vehicles are cleaned inside and out on a weekly basis, or sooner if necessary. Arrange for vehicles to be valeted as required.
• Ensure that all vehicles have an adequate supply of fuel in the tank, using agreed suppliers. Complete journey logs each time vehicles are used.
• Ensure vehicle security – that vehicles are locked and that alarms are activated when parking.
• Be aware of tax and MOT certificate dates; communicating with the Administrator near due dates.

For this role it is essential you have a clean driving licence and are aged 25 and over as you will be required to drive our Mini-bus as well as the company car.
