EXPERIENCE

Whilst you don’t need any specific qualifications for this role as we provide ongoing training and support, you do need to be able to communicate well and have a good level of both written and verbal English.

We welcome people without any prior experience in care because you will have more transferable skills from your previous jobs than you realise, but we also welcome applications from people with prior care experience and/or those who have already completed their Care Certificate / relevant qualification.

What does the job include?

This is a varied role where you’ll get the opportunity to form close bonds with the individuals you care for whilst working as part of a dedicated team.

Your role will include helping residents with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and enjoying meals, as well as supporting them to get around the home, socialise and enjoy their days doing the things they love.

You’ll also be there to support independence and always maintain people’s dignity as well as keeping individuals’ care plans up-to-date and supporting residents to take part in a wide range of fun recreational and social activities.

Withens is a warm and welcoming care home with a friendly and supportive team who care and support for up to 22 residents with nursing care needs. Situated in the pleasant village of Freckleton, we have free onsite parking available as well as being close to various public transport links.
