Job Summary
Date posted: 9 March 2025We are currently looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team.
Avalon is a 20-bed residential home that supports older people with physical and mental health issues such as Alzheimer's and Dementia. The home is central to Gloucester City with good transport links close to the home.
Avalon is rated overall 'Good' by the CQC.
Skills / Qualifications:
- You should: Have appropriate qualifications in food hygiene. Be able to use your own initiative and develop daily menus when required. Have good knowledge of dietary requirements
- and be able to adapt meals for a range of requirements. Be a good team player. Have a passion for delivering quality led outcomes that make a difference to people’s dining experience. You will: Cook fresh meals daily using fresh produce
- ensuring choice is available. Have good knowledge of SFBB and HACCP logging. Carry out other tasks to ensure a smooth running of the kitchen. Benefits you will receive Paid breaks. Alternate weekend working. Bonus scheme for extra hours worked. Hours Working over a 2 week rolling rota
