Job Description

We are now recruiting in The Willows, based in Southall. Nurses assist the Deputy / Home Manager in the planning and implementation of quality nursing care, supervising carers and ensuring the full and professional delivery of care to clients.

Full Time

Essential Criteria:
1st or 2nd level registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register
Hold a current valid NMC PIN no
Must demonstrate loyalty, flexibility and commitment to the Care Home
Be able to carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with the Home Manager

Duties
• To assist in the implementation of care plans and to ensure that care is carried out in accordance with that care plan
• To assist and organise the carers to adequately and safely deliver care
• To assist and supervise the delivery of nursing care and promote high standards by regular care plan evaluation
• Monitor residents progress, administers drugs and medicines, apply surgical dressings and give other forms of treatment.
• Advise on nursing care, disease prevention, nutrition, etc. and liaise with hospital/management on issues concerning nursing policy.
• Plans, manages, provides and evaluates nursing care services for residents, supervises the implementation of nursing care plans.
• To provide all necessary support to people living at the home enabling them to live an active and fulfilled life, whilst promoting a happy and friendly environment, whilst adhering to CQC regulations/legislation's and guidelines
• Ensure all nursing practices are evidence based and reflect current trends
• Work with the Home Manager and other trained nurses in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating quality nursing care
• Supervising and training care assistants and ensuring the full and professional delivery of care to the residents
