interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with
life-enriching practices.
KYN HURLINGHAM is our second home due to open in the first part of
2024. It’s a 32-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and
comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining. We have
a further two care homes in development in London.

About the opportunity
As a Household Care Lead (Days), you will be responsible for:
- Support the Clinical Lead/Registered Nurse in delivering
person-centred care that upholds residents' dignity and wellbeing.
- Assist in the development and documentation of care within the
Household Carer team.
- Ensure individualized care is provided as per residents' care plans.
- Create a nurturing environment for residents and their families.
- Engage in clinical supervisions for personal development and
improved resident outcomes.
- Meet residents’ medical, physical, social, and emotional needs,
involving them in care decisions.
- Provide daily reports on care delivered and note any changes.
- Assist residents during mealtimes and check dietary documentation.
- Encourage participation in wellbeing activities and lead daily
activities for physical and mental stimulation.
- Document meaningful conversations and oversee daily care
documentation accuracy.
- Mentor and lead team members to foster strong relationships with residents.
- Contribute to care planning, attend care reviews, and ensure
responsiveness to residents’ needs.
- Support new staff through induction and mentorship.
- Participate in training sessions and keep a reflective diary on
practice development.
- Promote KYN's values, maintain confidentiality, and effectively
resolve concerns.
- Engage in team meetings and welcome new residents, staff, and visitors.
- Support infection control efforts and adhere to KYN’s policies and
safety regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness in residents’ environments and report hazards.
- Manage care plans and medication administration as per guidelines.
- Act as a reference point for new Household Carers and lead
infection control initiatives.
- Serve as a link to the Registered Nurse for managing ongoing
clinical issues.
About you
- You will have experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting
- You will ideally have NVQ/QCF Diploma Level2/3 in Health and
Social Care (or can provide evidence of current progress towards
attainment of Level 3)
- You will be patient with the ability to deal with difficult
situations with tact and diplomacy
- You will have the ability to lead and motivate team members and
inspire professionalism
- You will be an effective team player who builds professional and
trusting relationships with every member of the team, ensuring they
feel valued
- You will have excellent attention to detail and an ability to
anticipate problems before they arise
- You will have the ability to resolve complaints and investigate
and manage incidents effectively and efficiently
- You will be a compassionate, empathetic, kind, and caring individual
