The home has been designed to enable residents to enjoy a fantastic quality of life. There’s a bar and cafe?, offering freshly-baked cakes and speciality teas and coffees. Residents can enjoy their favourite film, or a live sports match, in the comfy cinema room. The Lifestyle team at Harrier Lodge nursing home organises an exciting activities programme, with everything from outings and pub lunches, to visits from cuddly therapy dogs and competitive quizzes. Cooking sessions, yoga, and creative classes are popular, and there’s often live entertainment from our favourite singers. The highlight of the week is when our friends from the local primary school come to visit to do different activities.

The Role

  • Leading the team in the smooth running of the kitchen operation
  • Develop nutritious and diet sensitive meals for residents and their requirements
  • Menu design and planning
  • Managing stock control and adhering to food cost guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with both Food Safety and Health and Safety in the kitchen
  • Training, supervising, and developing a team to help them make the most of their potential
