The Role
You will be part of a dedicated team that offers the residents of our
purpose built care homes kind and compassionate care, in line with our
company ethos. If you are caring by nature and enjoy looking after
others, then being a Care Assistant at Augustinian Care is for you
A crucial part of the role will be implementing each residents person
centred care plan, by recording observations such as, weight,
temperature, pulse, blood pressure, nutrition and liquid intake.
Above all, you will be performing any duty that is necessary to help
our residents to retain their dignity, independence and well-being.
Requirements
- Previous experience of undertaking personal care in either an
employed or voluntary capacity
- Experience of working with the elderly, or those with special
needs, or be able to demonstrate relevant experience of providing
personal care to such client groups
- Previous experience of moving and positioning, or be prepared to
attend training
- All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check
and satisfactory references.
- Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working
within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to
be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and
residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to
work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your
COVID Vaccination pass.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to talk and listen to residents and other contacts both
internally and externally
- Written communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work in a tidy and
clean manner
- Ability to be confidential at all times
- A commitment to caring and understanding of the needs of the elderly
