Head of Dementia Care Salary: £33,500 per annum Hours of work: 37.5
hours per week including some weekend working Wellford Gardens is a
three-storey home with 65 bedrooms, offering residents round-the-clock

many personalised options. About the role Our care teams make a real
difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and
compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Working
collaboratively with the home management team, you will lead on and
develop the provision of person-centred care for our residents living
with dementia to meet their needs in sometimes complex situations and
during times of distress. You will take responsibility for the
operational management of the dementia households ensuring colleagues
are competent and confident working across all shifts through promoting
best practice, providing guidance and support. You will work closely
with our residents to support them in making decisions about their care
and will work alongside our own Admiral Nurses, outside agencies and our
resident’s family, carers and friends to plan and implement care that
promotes independence and wellbeing to ensure that our residents living
with dementia continue to live fulfilled and meaningful lives. About
you: You’ll have a QCF Level 3 in Dementia Care, or equivalent together
with, or willingness to work towards, a Level 3 Certificate in Team
Leadership and a proven track record of leading and managing a team in a
dementia care setting. You’ll be a positive role model, able to work
autonomously and, at times, under pressure, with excellent communication
and organisational skills and a natural ability to get along with
others. A supportive leader, you’ll motivate your team to deliver the
