We are a family-owned and run residential care home group. Over the past 28 years, we have gained a good track record for our consistency in delivering high standards of care. The RMD Care vision is to provide high-quality care in a home from home environment.

Manor Lodge was our first care home and retains a homely feel for our 16 residents. We are looking for an experienced team leader to support our manager with the day to day running of the home.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be warm, friendly and enjoy making a difference to people's lives. Previous experience working in a residential care home is essential and you will ideally hold a minimum of NVQ Health & Social Care Level 3 (or equivalent).

  • Experience of leading shifts and supporting staff
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our residents
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good knowledge of CQC regulations
  • A good knowledge & understanding of dementia

About the role:

As our Care Team Leader, you will play an important role in helping to ensure we are consistently delivering the highest standards of care to our residents. This is a varied role however the main duties will include

  • Leading shifts, supporting the care team with best practice, training and support.
  • Writing, updating and reviewing care plans
  • Supporting the manager with a range of administrative tasks to support the daily running of the home
  • Carrying out internal audits
  • Administering medicines and completing MAR charts.
  • Supporting our residents with personal care and all aspects of daily life.
  • Building professional relationships with residents, providing physical & emotional support and promoting quality of life.
  • Delivering a warm and friendly service, in welcoming relatives and healthcare professionals to our home.
  • Getting involved with events and open days

We have strict procedures and procedures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently providing taxis to all members of staff so that they can avoid using public transport.
