Senior Application Support Analyst (Fixed Term) - Hybrid Working based in Derby

Permanent - 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Application Support Analyst initially on a 24-months fixed term contract basis to be part initiatives of our programme of change. This role will sit as part of the IT Team and work in partnership with the Operational Leads to ensure continued seamless delivery of business-as-usual IT tasks whilst being part of continuous improvement and strategic projects.

About you

The ideal candidate will have worked previously in a senior systems role, ideally have finance systems experience, be highly motivated, driven and proactive and dedicated to ensuring successful delivery. The candidate will possess a strong background in supporting systems, analysis, and systems implementation, with a proven track record in continuous improvement both from a process and systems perspective.

The candidate will be experienced with cradle to grave IT projects delivery from requirements gather, documenting application-configuration changes, compiling and completing test scripts, supporting User Acceptance-Operational Acceptance Testing (UAT-OAT) through to release and deployment.

The ideal candidate will have experience of other digital transformation programmes spanning products such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint.

Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Accountable as first point of contact for assisting the Systems Solutions team Analysts with the trouble shooting and management of complex or urgent incidents and queries which they are unable to resolve. Mentor junior team members.
  • Responsible for assisting the Systems Solutions team Analysts with completing appropriate review for new solution requests to determine product suitability in line with existing or future functionality.
  • Accountable for working closely with operational services and managers to understand their requirements, deliver ongoing support and continuous improvements in line with business-critical processes. Ensure their needs are met and delivered through analysis of process and production of supporting IT and project governance.
  • Assist the Systems Solutions Manager with improving end-user experience.
  • Assist the Systems Solutions Manager with Supplier/Account Management
  • Lead and support in any IT Projects as required.

Key experience:

  • With technologies such as Power Apps, process automation-RPA and generative AI
  • With implementation of new or changed systems as well as decommission of systems
  • Able to support multi-faceted digital transformation programmes
  • Able to review and redesign process to align with overarching strategic objectives
  • System configuration to improve engagement and streamline of processes
  • Coordinate and participate in testing efforts, focusing on system solutions
  • Ensure process are documented and followed
  • Experience of Financial Systems such as Open Accounts, eBIS, V1 and Caresys, Cloud Financials, Care Cloud

Personal skills

  • Must be self-directing and able to work with autonomy
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities which enable you to mentor junior team members
  • Ability to demonstrate use of critical thinking to enable effective problem solving
  • Positive 'can do' approach
  • Experience of rationalising systems and leading complex systems integration activity

Experience with

  • Agile working
  • Awareness of DevOps environment
  • Producing supporting IT governance including IT assessments, requirements gather, design, architecture, data, testing and other support or project materials
  • Experience of leading and IT projects

Location

This a hybrid role with the primary work location being in Derby. The ideal is to have on-site presence which supports collaborative effective team working with a mix of working from home. MHA supports hybrid working arrangements, balancing flexibility and productivity with an ideal of two days per week in the office.
