An exciting opportunity has arisen for a planned and organised L & D Business Partner with a passion for supporting in the delivery of professional growth and development to join our L& D Team at Excelcare in Bromley, Kent.

Excelcare are a privately owned care home provider based across the South East with our Support Office in Bromley, Kent. Established for over 34 years, we are a progressive provider with a clear vision, strong leadership and ambitious growth plans. 

As the Learning and Development Business Partner, you would be responsible for the coordination and administration of learning programs, ensuring seamless execution and effective delivery of training initiatives. Your dedication and expertise will play a crucial role in shaping our workforce for future success.

About the role of Learning and Development Business Partner

  • Work closely with the L & D Business Partner and regional L & D Partners to plan, organise, and coordinate training programs, workshops, and events. This includes scheduling sessions, booking venues, arranging catering, and managing logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company's Learning Management System - managing user accounts, uploading training materials, monitoring completion progress, generating reports, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Promote and develop Apprenticeship routes and funding streams for each.
  • Assist with development and preparation of training materials, such as presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and multimedia content. Ensure accuracy, consistency whilst adherence to branding guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee training activities and compliance – compiling reports as required.
  • Utilise various communication channels to promote learning opportunities to team members.
  • Use insights to generate reports and make data-driven recommendations to enhance learning strategies.
  • Some travel to the Care Home portfolio as required (travel expenses would be re-imbursed)

About you:

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and administering learning and development programs.
  • Presentation skills – ability to contribute to and present data in a clear and relevant manner
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with training content creation tools.
