The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper to join our
team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean
and hygienic environment for our Residents. Your efforts will
contribute significantly to their well-being and overall satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Residents' bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, and
communal areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning methods and equipment to promote hygiene
and safety within the Homes.
- Support the team in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
for Residents and visitors.
- Manage cleaning supplies effectively.
- Participate in training and staff meetings to enhance skills and
knowledge of cleaning protocols and health standards.
The work can be intense and demanding and you will require
compassion, patience and understanding, but the rewards and job
satisfaction can be high.
Working hours: 09:00 - 14:00, Monday - Thursday
Salary: £12.34 - £20.36 per hour
Requirements
- While prior experience in a care home environment is preferred, we
are willing to provide comprehensive training to candidates who
demonstrate the right qualities during the interview process.
- An understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control and
COSHH would be an advantage.
- All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check
and satisfactory references.
- Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working
within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to
be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and
residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to
work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your
COVID Vaccination pass.

The Person
- You should be able and willing to follow instructions and detailed
guidelines and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- It is essential that you can work within a team and also work
unsupervised as needed.
- If you can show thoroughness and attention to detail that would be
an advantage.
- If you have a basic understanding of using cleaning chemicals and
handling and dealing with infection control situations within a
