Cook/Chef - 30 hours per week, Cornerways Care Home, Paignton
Are you a passionate cook who loves preparing nutritious and
delicious meals? We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team
at Cornerways. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real
difference to our residents in a warm and friendly environment.
A bit about the role:
Our lovely residents deserve the very best and that includes tasty,
nutritious, and comforting meals made with care.
- Plan and prepare and cook balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to
resident's dietary needs
- Ensure meals are presented well and served on time
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and nutritional guidelines
- Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen
- Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure resident's needs
are met
What we're looking for:
- An experience passionate Cook
- Knowledge of food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements
(e.g., soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals) - or a willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- A caring and compassionate attitude
- Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- A warm, friendly personality and a good sense of humor - it helps
in a busy kitchen!
