Tenancy Management Officer

Position: Tenancy Management Officer

Location: Tottenham Hale, London, N17

Salary: £32,900 per annum

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week

About the role:

As Tenancy Management Officer you will be expected to ensure that a comprehensive, sensitive and efficient housing management service is delivered to tenants. You will have the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external partners, experience of providing a supported housing service to vulnerable tenants and a commitment to sustaining tenancies wherever possible.

You will also be able to effectively manage tenancy breaches including Anti-Social Behaviour, assess the suitability of new referrals, carry out property inspections and manage the voids process, monitor rent accounts and work with Income Management Team to ensure that rent arrears are kept to a minimum. The successful candidates will also have excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience

  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
  • Excellent written communication, including reports and letters
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in IT and record-keeping, including electronic systems
  • Experience in supported housing services, tenancy management, and voids
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits, debt management, and arrears negotiation
  • Experience handling complaints, anti-social behaviour, and court representation
  • Understanding of equality, resident consultation, and housing-related support

Although not essential knowledge of current housing legislation would be beneficial for this role.
