The role
This is a newly created position, reflects our ambition after 20
years of trading for continued long-term success, sustainability and
growth. As Director of Finance, you will provide strategic financial
leadership, ensuring the business remains profitable, resilient, and
well-positioned for growth.
This isn’t just about spreadsheets and balance sheets—it’s about
people, purpose, and progress.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the financial strategy and shape our future by ensuring
profitability, sustainability, and growth.
- Drive financial performance and improve cash flow management.
- Optimise financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency.
- Providing strategic insights, supporting the leadership team with
data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure full legal and tax compliance, managing risk effectively.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities where necessary.
- Inspire and engage teams with a high level of emotional
intelligence and empathy.
What we’re looking for:
- We need an inspirational leader who can combine financial
expertise with a deep understanding of the care sector’s unique challenges.
- You should be commercially astute, hands-on, and able to foster a
collaborative work environment.
- Proven experience in a senior financial role (Finance Director,
Head of Finance, CFO, etc.).
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive financial performance.
- Expertise in cash flow management, financial planning, and risk management.
- Experience implementing financial systems and controls.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to engage and inspire teams.
- Experience in the care sector or a similar people-focused business (desirable).
