Maintenance Operative/Assistant (Part Time)

Permanent contract - 20 hours per week
£13.40 per hour

As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll ensure the care home remains
functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable
environment. We’ll support you to get the most out of your career,
including putting you through any required training for the role and
support any career development ambitions.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- A good understanding of building services including, heating, hot
and cold water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution
and plumbing.
- A good understanding of building fabric and its maintenance.
- Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience of compliance.
- A full driving licence and willing to support neighbouring Bupa
care homes.
- A minimum of 3 years hand on experience in property maintenance
and general repairs, or building/electrical/plumbing qualification
(City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc) or
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Computer literate.
- Good Customer service skills.
- Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home.
- Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating.
