Senior Carer

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the management team.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the care home environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with residents empathetically.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff in a care setting.
• Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous.
• A caring attitude with a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for elderly individuals.
